We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of a "simple vacuum cooling and vacuum drying device." After harvesting vegetables (especially leafy greens like Chinese cabbage and cabbage), there is a lot of residual moisture, so it takes time to cool them to a certain temperature even if they are placed directly in the refrigerator, which affects their freshness. Therefore, we modified a marine container tank (made of SUS). After loading the vegetables on pallets onto the internal roll conveyor, we made it possible to perform vacuuming and cooling simultaneously. Therefore, we modified a used shipping container for production. It can be used on a rotating basis by individual farmers.
